OPII, carrying majority working interest, is successfully operating under the Dhurnal Mining Lease along with Joint Venture Partners: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Pakistan Oilfields Limited and Attock Oil Company since 1982. In order to ensure enhanced and stabilized production and efficient water disposal, an environment friendly water injection secondary recovery project was implemented at Dhurnal, which was the first ever-secondary recovery project in Pakistan. To date production from the field has been 50.24 million barrels of Oil, 129.77 BCF of Gas and 393,277 metric tons of LPG. In 2009 OPII acquired 104 Sq. Km. 3D Seismic Data. OPII has 70% Working Interest in the field.

BHANGALI :
Discovered in 1989, the Bhangali Oilfield in the Soan Block is located in Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi in the prolific Potwar Oil Basin. Oil production started in October 1989 whereas the sales started in August 1990. It is being operated under the joint venture partnership of OPII, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Pakistan Oilfields Limited and Attock Oil Company since 1988. To date production from the field has been 3.75 million barrels of Oil, 9.25 BCF of Gas and 1,611 metric tons of LPG. For deeper potential OPII started deepening operation at Bhangali-1 in January 2010 and it is in progress. OPII has 40% Working Interest in the field.

RATANA :
Since 1991 OPII, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited, Pakistan Oilfields Limited and Attock Oil Company have been working at Ratana Oilfield located at Pindigheb/Jand, Attock. Discovery was made in the Ratana Concession in 1992 whilst production started in July 1993. The Ratana field contains a horizontal well, which is believed to be the world's deepest horizontal completion. In 2002, OPII discovered gas and condensate in a previously unexplored zone by undertaking a work over program in an existing well (Ratana-2). Gas production is being sold to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited after extraction of Sulphur and LPG at Pakistan Oilfields Meyal facilities. Despite marginal production, the dedication and commitment of Orient's team has not left any stone unturned to tap the full resource potential of the previously bypassed Eocene Zone and resulted in the discovery of new production possibilities. First quarter of 2007 is marked as another remarkable achievement of OPII’s expertise with Oil and gas discovery in Ratana Deep # 1 from Datta Formation of Jurassic age by deepening Ratana # 3 to Kingriali Formation of Triassic age. Based on the results of Ratana Deep-1, OPII deepened Ratana-2 as Ratana Deep-2 to Datta Formation of Jurassic age in fourth quarter of 2009. The well tested good quantities of oil & gas. To date production has been 1.4 million barrels of Condensate, 32,600 MMscf of Gas and 4,900 metric tons of LPG. OPII has 65.91% Working Interest in the field.

MARWAT:
Marwat E.L. is located in district D. I. Khan, Tank and Laki, NWFP Province. SAKHI SARWAR :
OPII and Zaver Petroleum Corporation Limited signed Sakhi Sarwar Block located in District D.G. Khan and Rajanpur, Punjab Province. OPII has acquired a 2D seismic survey of 151.7 kms. Re-entry was made by OPII in already drilled Sakhi Sarwar # 1 well by Amoco in 1976. The well penetrated in Pab Sandstone of Cretaceous age in sidetrack # 3 in October, 2007. Conducted open hole DST to test Ranikot and Pab potential, initially well flowed 0.5 MMscfd gas. Further investigations/studies are underway to ascertain the Hydrocarbon potential of the Block.

OPII is Operator and has 80% Working Interest in Sakhi Sarwar Block.

SINJHORO:
OPII is a non-operator joint venture partner in Sinjhoro concession. Ten discoveries have been made in Sinjhoro out of the seventeen exploratory wells drilled in the area by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited as operators. Planning for development of Sinjhoro field is at an advanced stage and first gas is expected by second quarter 2011.

Pakistan’s National Oil Company - OGDCL is Operator of Sinjhoro block. OPII has 19% pre-commerciality Working Interest in Sinjhoro fields.

MEHAR:
Mehar concession is operated by Petronas Carigalli of Malaysia and is a gas-condensate field. Further exploration and appraisal work is in progress. Mehar-2, an appraisal well was recently drilled about 130 meters down dip of Mehar-1 at cretaceous level, which tested good quantities of gas / condensate. The Ranikot formation of Paleocene was also tested commercial quantities of gas/condensate.

Development and Production Lease have already been achieved. New development strategy has been adopted and first gas from Mehar field is expected by the second quarter of 2011. OPII has pre-commerciality Working Interest of 15%.
